Tesla made a power bank using the same battery on their cars
November 20, 2017

Too bad it won’t make your smartphone faster.

Tesla’s big announcement may be focused on vehicles, but the company has also announced a rather unique device – a power bank. The portable battery made by Tesla can charge any mobile device, including all your iOS and Android devices.

The portable battery has a 3,350 mAh capacity, enough to hold a charge for one or two full cycles depending on usage. It was designed to look like Tesla’s Supercharger monument and it’s actually the same batteries used by Tesla’s vehicles.

For $45, it’s actually not a bad price. The battery pack includes a built-in Lightning cable and a micro USB cable (unfortunately it doesn’t have a USB-C connector).

Interested in getting one? Too bad it’s sold out.
