The iPhone 6 is finally going into production this month!

July 18, 2014

While the iPhone 6 keeps stealing the tech spotlight these days, it’s only logical we feed you with the latest on its development and this time, we’re going straight to the progress on its production.

Remember how we told you to expect two versions of the new iPhone? A 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch to be exact. Well, good news is that the 4.7-inch will be entering production this month according to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News.

This version of the iPhone 6 is expected to be just as popular, if not more popular, as its predecessor, the iPhone 5. Although, production of the 5.5” version isn’t lagging too far behind as it is expected to start the second week of August; so the manufacturing of both styles are just about a month apart.

Foxconn is reportedly planning to hire about 100,000 workers just for the manufacturing of the highly anticipated smartphone. We must say we’re not surprised about that figure given the history of high demand that comes with newly released iPhones.

About 10,000 additional workers are expected to be hired by Pegatron, as well, to help in producing the new smartphone line.

Although rumors regarding manufacturing issues rose speculation about possibly releasing the iPhone 6 next year, this September is still the projected month of arrival for Apple’s new fruits- no pun intended.
