The OnePlus 2 will come with a Snapdragon 810 processor

But might arrive with a more expensive price tag.

We’ve somehow confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will be arriving this year. The successor to the highly-praised smartphone gained a loyal following since it offered high end specifications at almost half the price of current smartphone flagships.

On the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, OnePlus CEO Liu Zouhu was asked if the new OnePlus 2 will feature the new Snapdragon 810 processor to which he confirmed ‘Yes’. He also mentioned that a smartphone with that processor might see it increase pricing to about 2499 Yuan ($402). The original OnePlus One costs about $349 for the 16 GB variant and while the price is higher, it is still significantly lower than other smartphones, which would go into the $600 and up price range.

Additional rumored specifications on the OnePlus 2 includes 4 GB of RAM, along with a new 5,5-inch display that is rumored to include a Quad HD resolution.

More details about the OnePlus 2 will be revealed in the next few months.
