Forget what has been a few turbulent months for the brand, if their road show at Mall
Of the Emirates is any indication, Samsung’s going all out to reinvigorate the Note 7. Despite the fact that no incidents have been reported in the region, the brand has been on an extensive recall process to ensure customer safety.
And this green icon could be key to it all.
As a Samsung representative at the stand told us, all the relaunched Samsung Note 7 devices will have the battery icon in green.
It’s a simple indication to all consumers of the device being from a new batch, an added approval of safety.
Interestingly, in this case, Google bent their rules for manufacturers of Android devices. Their Compatibility Definition Document (CDD) states that all Android devices “MUST use white for system status icons”
The Galaxy Note 7 was massively appreciated on release, and across the stand, the brand has been showcasing specification highlights. this range from it being IP68 certified, ahead of most of its competitors, a robotic arms that draws visitors caricatures, a VR kayak element and a 360 camera.
And yes, the rep mentioned the new batches of the Samsung Note 7 will hit stand in the UAE towards the fag end of September, in a weeks time.
So wait and watch for the green.
