The phablet to rule them all?
We’ve always seen some smartphone breaking the limit of what it can do – from adding ridiculous features that can either be a hit or a miss. But Akyumen’s new Holofone phablet may be the most ambitious one yet. It’s not just a dual-boot Android/Windows 10 smartphone, but it also has built-in projector.
Yes, a projector. We have seen earlier smartphones having similar features, but the ability to boot into dial operating systems would give users more flexibility in choosing which platforms they would want to use.
Specifications-wise, the Holofone is loaded with top-end hardware that should make it at par with some high-end flagships. It runs on an Intel Cherry Trail 8300 Quad-core processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of (upgradeable) internal storage. It has a massive 7-inch screen plus a 13-megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It runs Windows 10 plus Android Lollipop which you can choose when the device boots up.
But the highlight of the device may be the built-in projector – it can project images of up to 100 inches diagonal with a brightness level of up to 35 lumens. The battery comes with a 2910 mAh capacity – so we’re thinking that it’s best you plug-in the smartphone before you use the projector.
You can now pre-order the Akyumen Holofone in different bundles from the company’s website.. Pricing starts at $600 all the way to $750.
