Check out Kingston’s new flash drive.
Despite the increasing popularity of cloud services, some users still find it more convenient to have a physical drive with them rather than relying on the internet for their personal files. That being said, file sizes have significantly grown over the years, as with the needs of users on storage.
That is why Kingston has just updated its DataTraveler series with the DataTraveler Ultimate Generation Terabyte (GT) flash drive that features 2 TB (yes, Terabytes) of memory – which should be enough to hold your entire file archive in the palm of your hand.
Similar 2 TB drives have been present, but usually in the form of a 3.5 drive that while still portable, is something not pocket-friendly. This DataTraveler drive fits right in the palm of your hand, and is able to fit more than 70 hours of high-quality 4K video.
Its small 72mm x 26.9mm x 21mm size is its main selling point, especially for users who require more storage space on their devices. The drive is made with a zinc-alloy metal that is shock resistant and can withstand hot or freezing temperatures.
The DataTraveler Ultimate Generation Terabyte (GT) flash drive connects via USB 3.0 and will come with a five-year warranty. It will also be compatible with macOS 10.9 and higher, Windows 7 and higher, Chrome OS, and Linux version 2.6 and higher.
Pricing has not been revealed, but we’re guessing it won’t be cheap.
