Lego is releasing a Baby Yoda set, and we want one too

September 22, 2020

I’m buying 10, what about you?

The Mandalorian is probably one of the best shows available at the moment and with the second season fast approaching, many are excited to see one character (aside from the Mandalorian himself) return. The Child, more popularly known as Baby Yoda, has captured the hearts of viewers since its introduction last year.

This is why Lego is releasing its own 1,073-piece Baby Yoda set that you can build from scratch. Made for ages 10 and up (and adults too of course), the set stands 7.8 inches tall when finished. The head is also posable along with adjustable ears and mouth so you can give it a wide range of expressions.

“When I received the challenge to create a Lego brick-built version of the Child, I knew that I had to get it just right,” says Michael Lee Stockwell, Design Manager, Lego Star Wars. “The goal was to capture the charm, and above all, the cuteness of the character, so we worked meticulously, choosing and placing each and every brick. We even included authentic details like the gear stick knob – a favorite toy of the Child as seen in the series.”

The set will include a plaque with more details about The Child like age and height but if you’re closely following the Disney+ series, then we’re guessing you already know that.

Lego is opening pre-orders for the set today in the US and will release on October 30th, but expect it to arrive in our turn sometime in the next few weeks after that.
