UAE’s first solar-powered school opens

October 5, 2016

The Lazar Group officially opens Little Leaders preschool.

Little Leaders preschool will be an eco-friendly preschool catering to children in Nursery and Kindergarden levels. Based in Ajman, the school will be completely solar-powered, and will be part of the UAE’s vision in promoting a sustainable environment. The school is able to use up to 180 watts of electricity, all provided through solar energy.

“The launch of Little Leaders will create tech – savvy and leveraged learning for its pupils, who are adept in the use of IT to discover and empower their own learning. We also look at educating tomorrow’s leaders in the importance of looking after the environment. By ensuring we create a future generation of environmentally caring individuals, we will have a positive effect on the rest of their lives,” said Lanson Lazar, Chairman of The Lazar Group.

The school will be able to accommodate 500 students and will have no more than 20 pupils in each class.
