Vertu’s new line of smartphones are ‘less expensive’

August 7, 2016

With a $4,200 starting price, it’s one of their cheapest models.

Vertu’s line of luxury smartphones offer exuberant prices of smartphones that come with a similar spec-sheet as with a two-year old flagship smartphone. The three new handsets will be part of the Vertu’s Aster collection and is considered the cheapest among their current line, which starts at $4,200.

Techies might not enjoy the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and Android 5.1 Lollipop support that the Aster line has, but I guess the highly resilient Italian fabric should make you feel better based on what you have paid.

Vertu’s smartphones have been one of the most expensive devices in history – with some models selling for $10,000 to $30,000 per piece.

And it makes you wonder who are the people buying them – considering outdated specifications. Maybe it’s to show off how much money you have perhaps?
