Minecraft is coming to PlayStation VR
September 8, 2020

Part of the week-long announcements from PlayStation.

Despite everyone eagerly waiting for the PS5, Sony is still pushing for VR content thanks to its PlayStation VR platform. Just yesterday they announced that there will be a week-long announcement about the new titles coming to the PSVR, one of which includes the popular sandbox game Minecraft.

Developer Mojang said that they’ve been working hard to bring VR support to the title with help from SkyBox Labs. They will be bringing in VR tech already used in other games and customizing it to work with the PSVR.

The good thing is that Minecraft PSVR can be played in its entirety in VR. There will be two modes available: Immersive and Living Room along with extra options on how to customize the VR gameplay. Immersive means you can play the game in full VR while Living Room means that you will be getting a virtual screen.

PSVR support on Minecraft will come as an update for PS4 users.
