The much-anticipated game launches this September.
Marvel’s Spider-Man game exclusive to the PS4 from Insomniac Games has been in development for years, and with random previews of gameplay footage, it has been quickly building hype from gamers. Initial reaction has pointed that this may be the definite Spider-Man game everyone has been waiting for, but for months no one knows exactly when it will release – until now.
Insomniac Games has announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man will release on September 7, 2018, in various editions. One of which includes a Spider-Man figure in which the design hasn’t been finalized yet.
Aside from the standard edition, there will be a Digital Deluxe edition that can be pre-ordered from the PlayStation Store. It includes the main game along with a DLC titled The City That Never Sleeps that will come post-launch. It will also include new missions along with villains and characters new suits for Spider-Man.
There will also be a special Collector’s Edition that will include everything in the Digital Deluxe edition along with the game in a steelbook casing, a mini art book and a special Spider-Man statue in which half of it isn’t revealed. “Pay extra special attention to the statue though and you’ll notice something is obviously missing. We haven’t revealed the entire statue for the Collector’s edition, just Spider-Man perched on top of something. What could that be? It’s too spoilery to show you now, but stay tuned!” Insomniac Games said in a statement.
Since Spider-Man is Sony property, don’t expect it to come to the Xbox One anytime soon. I guess that’s one more reason to own a PlayStation 4.
