Leaked renders showcase a familiar design.
Google’s Pixel smartphone has been mostly a hit despite not being available in all countries. But after the success of its smartphone hardware, the company is now looking into wearables, especially after its purchase of Fitbit. Through renowned leaker John Prosser, we now have an idea of what the Pixel Watch could look like.
Prosser designed the renders based on official images that he has, which he still cannot share. The wearable features a rounded design that bears the codename Rohan will sport a somewhat minimalist design. There’s a thin metal body that merges with the glass display along with a single crown that makes it similar to a traditional watch.
We’re assuming it will run Wear OS, making it an ideal partner to the Pixel smartphone. It should also embed some of Fitbit’s fitness tracking features, integrating them with either the Fitbit app or Google Fit app.
As far as specifications go, no hardware details were revealed since Google is planning to announce the Pixel Watch sometime in the fall along with the Pixel 6 smartphone. The news comes after the confirmation that Google has confirmed the existence of the Pixel 5a, which it is planning to release this summer during its Google I/O developer event.
