For 2021, Google invites you to make this Android origami
January 3, 2021

Start the year right with Android.

2021 has officially arrived, and while the threat of the ongoing pandemic is far from over, Google is introducing new ways to keep yourself busy while staying at home – and it doesn’t even involve technology. Today, Google just shared how to make an origami Android mascot that was shared through the Android Developers Twitter account.

The 11-minute video above details how to make the Android mascot, which was created by Software Engineer Lisa Nguyen Quang Do and crafted by VP of Engineering Seang Chau. It’s quite complicated, so this activity isn’t really made for kids. Still, it is challenging and fun enough to be one of the activities that you can do at the start of the year.

If the video is confusing for you, Google has also released a PDF instruction guide on how to do the origami Android mascot.
