The update is rolling out now.

Microsoft has just recently updated its ‘Your Phone’ app to be more compatible with Android devices. One of the awesome new features includes the ability for your Android smartphone to mirror notifications to your Windows 10 machine.

The feature has been in testing for a few months now and has started rolling out as part of the recent update to Windows 10. Notifications will be supported on all apps, including emails and/or social media. It’s compatible with any Android device – though it wasn’t mentioned what exact operating system it is capable of. But I’ve tried on basically every Android device we have in the office: Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Galaxy S9, Mate 30 and they all worked flawlessly.

You just need to make sure that you have the latest version of Windows 10 for this to work and the ‘Your Phone’ app is installed (it’s available on the Microsoft Store).
