Create all the GIFs!

GIFs has made a comeback thanks to all the memes and random images that have populated the internet, adding humor or extra visual flair to conversations.

As such, YouTube has also started testing a feature that would enable you to start making GIFs from videos. You can check out the feature (currently in testing phase for select videos) on this link, and start making your own. Note that you have to be signed in to be able to create a GIF.

You can make a GIF from any point in the video for about 5 seconds. You can ten add text on the GIF much like the memes you see online. It’s a simple feature, but it looks like more and more of these images will be shared once the service rolls out on all the videos on the website.

What do you think of the new feature? And let us know how you would like GIFs to be pronounced in the comments below!
