Bose SoundSport Wireless Review
June 27, 2016

The best of the best.

Bluetooth headphones don’t usually offer the best sound quality, since we all now that sound gets degraded when it streams through Bluetooth. Though since then, new technologies have made it possible to replicate the awesome sound without a loss of quality when being streamed wirelessly. One of which is the Bose SoundSport Wireless.

Part of the new line of audio devices that now support wireless connectivity, the Bose SoundSport Wireless is basically a Bluetooth version of the famed in-ear headphones designed for the active user. It’s sweat-resistant, meaning that you can use this headphones to the gym without the fear of damaging them.

It uses Bose’s own StayHear+ eartips, which conveniently places the headphones with a secure fit without the need to jam it inside your ears. The earpieces are connected by a wire, and looks larger than the usual – though it’s very lightweight and you’d hardly notice wearing them.

The Bose SoundSport Wireless includes an inline microphone and remote so you can make calls along with controlling volume and playback. Pairing it is easy and the headphones will work with virtually any device that supports Bluetooth.

You also have the option to download the Bose Connect free app for Android and iOS devices, which lets you adjust various settings for the Bose SoundSport Wireless including changing the pairing list or even updating the firmware.

The Bose SoundSport Wireless doesn’t completely isolate sound, but that doesn’t it’s not a good headphone. In fact, bass levels are deep along with warm vocal tones and sharp trebles – something I’d normally experience when listening to a high-end earphone. It sounds okay for indoor user and even better outdoors – I can keep explaining my experience in words but you really have to listen to believe.

Charging via a micro USB port, the Bose SoundSport Wireless gave about six hours of battery before it needed charging again – true to what Bose claimed. I wished it could be longer, especially with sound output that’s this good.

When it comes to in-ear Bluetooth headphones – the Bose SoundSport Wireless is our top choice.
