Honor 10: The budget smartphone category has a new king!
May 23, 2018

Much recommended for a happier social life

There was a time, not too far back when aspects like Artificial intelligence  and stunning nano-scale 15-layer optical coating would strictly be the restricted to flagship smartphones.

The honor brand without a doubt shifted the dynamics of the mid-range smartphone segment, offering massively impressive spec at very affordable price points.

Which brings us to the honor 10. Before one gets into the nitty gritty of it all, consider this: over 1 million Honor 10 units have already been sold in China since its launch on April 27. One fact is clear, the Honor 10 is definitely the budget smartphone to beat! Very few brands globally would tout design collaborations with outside design bodies for budget devices. Honor just went ahead and did a collaboration with the Paris Aesthetics Center, to introduce the Phantom Blue and Phantom Green colors to the Honor line.

Colors done, the honor 10 has a 3D glass back with a stunning nano-scale optical coating composed of 15 layers. The overall effect is one of fluidity, one we love to see at this price point.

Social media enthusiasts have a lot to love with the honor 10. In terms of the all –important camera, the AI 2.0 is a key differentiator on the device. The 24MP+16MP dual-lens AI camera has a built-in NPU, and it recognizes 500+ scenarios in 22 categories in real-time. A key aspect to showcase here is an industry-first Semantic Image Segmentation tech. This enables the device to identify multiple objects in one single image, making for even more perfect images. Portraits are a key highlight here, with effects like soft lighting, theatre lighting etc, combined with classic bokeh effects.

Come to the 24MP front camera, and support for 3D face recognition, means facial details are optimized, with over a hundred facial points detected. And its true for grofie shots as well.

As for the display, it’s a rather luscious 5.84” FullView FHD+ screen with a 19:9 bezel-less display and 86% screen-to-body ratio. The NPU processor ensures the right support along with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM storage. You need not fret on battery as well, as the devices comes with a Honor Super Charge 3,400 mAh battery, which can recharge 50% of power within 25 minutes.

ur key highlights on this? The honor 10 blazes a new trail in the budget smartphone territory with a very inspired spec list!

honor 10 will be available on 22nd of May at 1699 AED for purchase at retail stores and honor’s UAE website.
