Mobile and secure.

HP’s new EliteBook 735 G5 has one of the best enterprise-grade security we’ve seen in a notebook. It’s clearly made for the modern professional but is also capable enough to aid you in your everyday tasks.

Design-wise, the EliteBook 735 G5 has the same ultra-slim design we’ve come to know about the EliteBook line. There’s also a sizable trackpad along with island-style keys on the spill-proof keyboard that makes typing a breeze. All of the input ports are located on the side and this includes HDMI, Ethernet, and USB-C. There’s also a SIM card slot if you want to use a cellular connection.

The EliteBook 735 G5 also runs on AMD’s new Ryzen PRO processor along with AMD Radeon Vega Graphics. The new Ryzen PRO processor aid the EliteBook in delivering the best pure performance that also extends to the graphics. It can support up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. The EliteBook 735 G5 also includes a 13.3-inch anti-glare display that works well even when used outside in sunlight.

Since security is the top feature of the EliteBook 735 G5, it also includes a fingerprint reader so you don’t have to remember that password. It runs on Windows 10 and includes some of HP’s own enhanced suite of software pre-installed. One of these is HP Sure Click that implements a hardware-grade security protection that can keep your notebook free from ransomware and viruses.

I used the EliteBook 735 G5 for a couple of week and thankfully the weight (about 1.3 kilograms) meant that I can easily bring this everywhere especially when I need to get work done on the go.

The notebook fast and fluid, and I easily blazed through answering emails, editing images in Photoshop, and even editing short video clips in 4K using Premiere. For an ultra-slim notebook, I was impressed by how it managed to handle these tasks, which was handled perfectly by AMD’s Ryzen PRO CPU.

The HP EliteBook 735 G5 is a great choice for any mobile professional that’s looking for a secure and performance-driven notebook. Highly recommended.

We Love:

+ Great performance thanks to the AMD Ryzen Pro

+ Enterprise-grade security

+ Streamlined design

We Hate:

– None that we can think of

Final Rating: 4/5
