Sports headsets are also becoming a norm nowadays. I often get asked which are the best headphones that one can safely use while working out, I’d have my recommendations but then I’d realize most of them aren’t suited for ‘active’ usage. Enter the Philips ActionFit Python – a sports headphone that is compatible with almost all mobile devices.
The Philips ActionFit Python’s gooseneck design should easily fit any head. The material on the headband is soft and flexible and shouldn’t obstruct when you are doing you daily exercise routines. It can withstand any liquid, so feel free to sweat it out when wearing the Philips ActionFit Python.
The Philips ActionFit Python comes with three ear pieces that you can easily change depending on you fit. Additionally, a microphone is also included in the wire so you can take calls even when you’re out burning calories. Out of the box, the Philips ActionFit Python supports all iPhone models, including Android smartphones from HTC, LG, Sony, Motorola, and Samsung along with smartphones made by BlackBerry and Nokia (Microsoft).
Connecting via the 3.5 mm audio port, the Philips ActionFit Python does a decent job churning out tunes – though there are times when the bass mostly sound flat. Not really a big issue when you’re out and running, but for something that combines a good design aspect and a secure fit on the ears, I kind of expected more. The microphone is decent, and calls made through the Philips ActionFit Python yielded clear and distortion-free results.
The Philips ActionFit Python works well as a sports headset since it manages to stay in place thanks to it secure fit design. Its performance could be better though.
