Razer DeathAdder Chroma Review
November 26, 2014

Made for gaming.

Razer has always been at the forefront when it comes to gaming peripherals. Particularly their line of gaming mice, which has earned a plethora of awards thanks to its functions and design. One particular favorite of mine is the Razer DeathAdder Chroma, which we have here for review. Let’s check it out.

Design and Specifications

The Razer DeathAdder Chroma basically is the same DeathAdder mice that has been released a few years back. It still features the same ergonomic design that is comfortable on the hands and perfect for holding the mice in your hands.

With 5 independently programmable buttons on the mice, you can assign various settings that would aid you in your games – and sync them with Razer Synapse so you can access the settings later on. It also has a 10,000 DPI optical sensor that also supports on-the-fly adjustment – and you can even use it on a glass surface.

The ‘Chroma’ part is the LED that lights up the mice when it’s in use. You can easily program the colors appearing on the mouse – allowing for more than 16.8 million color customizations. The Razer DeathAdder Chroma is wired and connects to your computer using a braided cable and a gold-plated USB plug.

Much like the past iterations of this device, the Razer DeathAdder Chroma still perform optimally and you can’t argue its capabilities as a gaming mouse. The 10,000 DPI support meant that I can precisely take shots when playing a first person shooter game. Games like Call of Duty or Left 4 Dead worked brilliantly with the Razer DeathAdder Chroma.

It’s also very comfortable on the hand, and with the inclusion of Razer Synapse, I can easily customize settings and apply them on the fly, even when I change mice or use a different computer. Synapse offers a plethora of other options, though if you would want to sync your settings across all your computers that would mean installing Synapse on each and every one of them.

Part of the new Chroma series from Razer, the Razer DeathAdder Chroma manages to deliver a better gaming experience that you wouldn’t normally get from other competitors and the $69.99 price justifies its features and excellent design.
